We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working a 12-hour shift with a 2/3 rotating schedule to join our clinical team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-focused care while supporting the nursing team in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. CNAs are dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable, respected, and supported throughout their care experience.

In this hands-on role, CNAs assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility assistance. They also monitor and record vital signs, observe patient behaviors and conditions, and promptly communicate any concerns or changes to the nursing staff to help ensure quality patient care.

CNAs at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles also help maintain a clean, organized, and structured environment that promotes patient safety and overall well-being. In addition to physical care, they provide emotional support, encouragement, and positive interaction to patients, helping build trust and meaningful connections during treatment.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred

Experience working with geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health patients strongly preferred

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

A current resume with complete work history required
