As we continue to expand, we are growing our Lake Charles team in preparation for increasing our capacity to 42 beds, allowing us to better serve our community.

We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the day shift (6:45 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) with a 2/3 rotating schedule to join our clinical team.

POSITION SUMMARY

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an important role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients under the guidance of the nursing team. CNAs help ensure patients are safe, comfortable, and supported in meeting their daily needs.

In this role, CNAs assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility. They also take vital signs, observe and report any changes in a patient’s condition, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Beyond physical care, CNAs provide encouragement and emotional support, helping create a respectful and compassionate atmosphere for patients.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine sense of care are essential, as CNAs are a key part of the care team and play a meaningful role in each patient’s overall experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred

Experience working with geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health patients strongly preferred

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

A current resume with complete work history required
