Position Summary: This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected medical practice as a Certified Medical Assistant. Essential Job Functions: - Verify patient information by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, confirming the purpose of the visit, and reconciling medication lists. - Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical assessments and tests. - Maintain patient confidentiality by accurately completing, securing, and safeguarding medical records, including diagnostic and procedure coding. - Assist with office procedures, injections, and other clinical tasks as directed by the provider. - Triage incoming patient phone calls; review messages with physicians and respond promptly and courteously as instructed. - Communicate test results, laboratory findings, and other provider instructions to patients, answer questions as appropriate. - Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments; submit prescriptions per provider instructions. - Coordinate with insurance companies and pharmacies as needed, including processing prior authorizations. - Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by adhering to established standards, procedures, and legal regulations. - Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and patient-ready at all times. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and notify appropriate personnel when replenishment is needed. - Ensure proper operation of medical equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine preventive maintenance. Adhere to clinic policies, professional standards, and all federal, state, and local regulations to support and protect the medical practice. - Work collaboratively with the physician to meet departmental goals on a quarterly basis. - Maintain current CPR certification. - Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: - Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program - Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within four months of hire - Working knowledge of medical terminology Ability to sit or stand for extended periods - Excellent computer, telephone, and verbal/written communication skills - Strong customer service skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail - Self-motivated, dependable team player who is friendly, professional, and able to multitask efficiently while remaining calm and productive - Previous medical experience preferred but not required

Hours: M-F 7:45 am - 5 pm, with 2 half days.
