Position: Kindergarten Teacher (0.5 - 1.0 FTE – Flexible Structure)
Location: Multiple Fueling Brains Academy Campuses across Calgary
Type: Temporary (September 2026 – June 2027, with potential for renewal)

We are looking for passionate, dynamic educators to join our team across Calgary for the 2026–2027 school year.
As an accredited Early Childhood Services (ECS) operator under Alberta Education, we offer a unique learning environment that blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and physical literacy approaches to support the development of the whole child.
Position Overview
We are hiring for multiple 0.5 FTE Kindergarten Teacher roles, with a flexible structure based on your preferences and strengths. Opportunities include:
A 0.5 FTE Certificated Teacher role, or
A split role (0.5 FTE Teacher + 0.5 FTE Level 3 Early Childhood Educator)
This flexibility allows you to design a role that aligns with your lifestyle while still making a meaningful impact in early education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Alberta Kindergarten Curriculum and Program of Studies
Develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) for students requiring additional support
Support the safety and well-being of children in accordance with Alberta’s Child Care Licensing Act
Collaborate with other Educators and Educational Assistants
Student assessment, reporting, and parent-teacher conferences
Build strong relationships with families to support student growth
Participate in ongoing professional development
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment
Qualifications
Valid Interim or Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate (required)
Experience working with young children (Kindergarten, preschool, or childcare settings preferred)
Knowledge of play-based, Montessori, or Reggio-inspired approaches is an asset
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Passion for early childhood development and whole-brain learning

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position requires lifting and carrying demands that require the ability to bend at the waist, stoop,and twist frequently, the ability to lift 50 pounds, the ability to carry, push and pull 50 pounds, and the ability to stand, walk and sit frequently. This includes walking up to 3 kms to support students with community outings.
