Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is seeking an experienced and qualified Certificate III in Individual Support Trainer & Assessor to support the delivery of accredited training programs for workers in the disability and community services sector.
This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is committed to high-quality training outcomes, compliance, and supporting learners to build practical, work-ready skills.
About the Role
The Trainer & Assessor will be responsible for delivering, assessing, and supporting students undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support, ensuring all training and assessment activities meet RTO, ASQA, and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering face-to-face and/or blended training sessions
Assessing student competency in line with training package requirements
Developing and maintaining assessment tools and training resources
Providing student support, feedback, and guidance
Maintaining accurate training, assessment, and compliance records
Ensuring delivery aligns with current industry standards and best practice
Participating in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability and/or Ageing) or higher
Current industry experience in disability, aged care, or community services
Sound knowledge of training package and competency-based assessment
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Desirable Requirements
Experience delivering training within an RTO environment
Familiarity with ASQA standards and audit requirements
Experience working with diverse learners
Ability to deliver both theory and practical components
Compliance & Screening
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:
