Quick Summary

The Centralized Maintenance Planning Intern will assist in the development of a centralized maintenance planning center, working closely with the Engineering & Maintenance department and Supply Chain Management team to optimize resource allocation and improve operational efficiency.

Job Description

About the role

The Engineering & Maintenance department, together with Supply Chain Management (SCM), is driving a major transformation: the creation of a Centralized Maintenance Planning Center (MPC) to harmonize planning across Jetfly entities in Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. This initiative aims to optimize resource allocation, reduce aircraft Ground Time, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.

Our SCM team is currently in a phase of continuous improvement and process standardization, with a strong focus on operational support to Jetfly’s operations.

As Jetfly continues this transformation, we are looking for an intern to join the SCM team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager and based at the Jetfly Group headquarters at Findel airport, at the heart of our airline operations.

About us

Jetfly Group is a leading European private aviation group headquartered in Luxembourg. With over 25 years of experience and more than 540 passionate professionals, we bring together specialized business units offering a complete aviation ecosystem, including fractional ownership, charter services, aircraft management, trading, maintenance, and training.

Based in Luxembourg, Jetfly Aviation is the fractional ownership arm of the Jetfly Group. We operate a fleet of 72 Pilatus aircraft (PC-12 and PC-24), along with the Cirrus SF50, combining Swiss precision and exceptional service to deliver a refined private flying experience,  exclusively for over 500 co-owners across Europe.

Responsabilities

This internship is at a group level, supporting our 5 companies (Jetfly, Jetfly Technik, Bournemouth Aviation Service Limited, Jetfly Suisse, Fly 7).

This internship will support the Centralized Maintenance Planning project at group level, working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and the Maintenance Planning officer. The role combines technical maintenance knowledge, data analytics, and process optimization to implement a robust planning model aligned with Jetfly’s operational excellence goals.

Data & Standards: Enrich AMOS Task Cards, standardize maintenance data, and maintain dynamic AMM links.

Digital Tools Deployment: Assist in AMOS Mobile rollout, Shift Planning configuration, and task assignment to optimize workload distribution.

Planning & Analytics: Contribute to the development of the multi-level S&OP model (strategic, tactical, operational), prepare KPI dashboards, and support automation using Python/VBA.

Procedures & SOPs: Develop and document SOPs for centralized maintenance planning and S&OP processes, ensuring alignment with planning horizons and governance. Translate planning outputs into Supply Chain actions (pre‑allocations, purchase plans, consignment triggers).

Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with Engineering, MCC, PPC, Supply Chain, and local MPCs; participate in planning meetings and maintain strong links with sites for smooth handovers.

Inventory Strategy: Collaborate with Supply Chain Officers to define stock policies and safety stock levels based on forecasts and future demand from S&OP outputs.

Continuous improvement: Implement visual management tools to make planning reviews clear, collect lessons learned (Return of experience - REX) after major checks to update times, sequences, and stock policies, and identify quick wins in data, workflows, or automation to propose practical improvements.

Site Support: Conduct visits to MRO sites (JFT – Germany, JFTS – Switzerland, BASL – UK) as needed to assist implementation, training, and feedback collection.

Profile

Ongoing Master’s or Engineering degree in Aeronautics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Fluent in English (written and spoken); French or German is an advantage.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas; macros are a plus) and familiarity with Power BI.

Programming skills (Python, VBA, SQL) for automation and data analysis.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.

Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Sociable, attentive, dynamic, problem solving, curious.

Jetfly's Offer:

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Jetfly’s future maintenance planning model, combining engineering and supply chain initiatives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and actively contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The location of the company will allow you to reach it easily by public transport or by car (Luxembourg airport).

Last but not least, a fun, multicultural, professional and collaborative work culture where we guarantee that there is never a dull day.
