Be a part of Global Expedited Transportation Freight Corp (G.E.T Freight).
GET Freight is looking for dedicated port drivers in the Savannah area who would like to earn a great living five days per week, Monday to Friday, with the option of weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities:
Port Drivers will be responsible for moving containers, both loaded and empty, to and from the port and customer warehouses/DC’s, vendor locations and GET’s yard nearby the port.
Port drivers will operate and maintain heavy equipment tractor-trailers, chassis, Port Containers, 53 ft Trailers as directed by GET operations and dispatch.
- Perform route driving for freight delivery
-Assist with additional shuttle operations at manufacturing plant as needed.
Applicants must include all necessary information on applications to enable employer to conduct past employment references. Only complete applications will be considered. Employer will conduct a pre-employment background, physical and drug screen as well as a driving background check.
- Estimated start time: 6:00 A.M.
Minimum requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Valid DOT Medical Card
2+ years of professional, over-the-road experience with a similar operation.
Must have TWIC Card with 1+ year Port Experience
MUST have a good MVR: No more than 2 minor violations in 36 months
MUST be able to pass a background check and drug test
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on truck of moving equipment, exterior of truck, trailing equipment, etc. and report and/or repair any defects.
Maintain required documentation and paperwork for shipments, expenses, driver logs, and DOT regulations
Must be a team player, possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and work well in a Team Environment.
Must be able to read, follow and retain instructions.

Expected hours: 40-50 hours per week (may vary depending on demand)
