CDL Class A Driver

Roles & Responsibilities:

The CDL Driver (A) is responsible for loading and transporting materials from the manufacturing plant to the job site in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Summary:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Drive a truck rated over 26,001 lb.

• Operate a dump or flat bed with the possibility of an attached forklift.

• Ensure the correct loading of products onto the vehicle.

• Assist with loading, safely securing, and delivering factory framed cartridges to job sites.

• Deliver products to various locations.

• Unload products at job sites when necessary.

• Inspect the condition of the vehicle before and after use.

• Complete daily driver logs.

• Maintain an updated knowledge base and follow all DOT regulations.

• Maintain a safe vehicle and protect the load by complying with organization policies, procedures, and highway rules and regulations.

• Report any vehicle damage and repairs.

• Meet driver MVR requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

• Capable of working one duty for eight to ten hours.

Licenses and Certification Requirements:

• Must possess a Class A CDL driver license.

• Must meet company driving record requirements and provide a current Motor Vehicle Record.

• Must pass all preemployment screenings and background checks.

• Must provide a valid medical certificate.

Other Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred

• Training: Forklift

• Experience: 1-2 years previous experience

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skills

Working Conditions:

• Requires vision, speech, and hearing

• Outside weather conditions, construction site and manufacturing facility exposure

• Hours of work: 6:00am start (8-10 hours of work) Monday thru Friday *Work directly with department head as some positions may have a staggered start*

• Salary: $28.50 - $31.50 an hour (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills) + annual Bonus potential
