Job Summary
Delivery Drivers are responsible for completing scheduled deliveries and transporting materials and equipment between multiple operating locations while maintaining compliance with all DOT and company safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Complete deliveries safely and on schedule in compliance with all federal and state regulations
Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
Properly secure cargo and maintain vehicle balance during transport
Verify load lists and delivery documentation for accuracy
Complete driving logs and maintain accurate records
Coordinate with dispatchers and team members regarding routes and deliveries
Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain vehicles and equipment in safe operating condition
Represent the company professionally with customers and vendors
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL required
Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
Experience with load securement, including chains and binders
Experience operating skid steers or loaders preferred
Experience with drop decks, lowboys, goosenecks, and walking floors preferred
Knowledge of DOT regulations, driving logs, and safety requirements
Ability to safely load, unload, and transport heavy equipment and materials
Ability to read and complete required documentation in English
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Must meet company driver eligibility and insurability requirements
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of truck and equipment safety procedures
Familiarity with dump trucks, snowplow-equipped trucks, and related equipment
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly
Understanding of workplace safety standards and equipment maintenance procedures
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of driving throughout shifts
Frequent bending, climbing, stooping, and walking
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds
