Job Summary
Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS) a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC division, is seeking an CDL Class A Driver/Operator who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.
Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.
CCS provides industrial cleaning and spill response to almost every pulp and paper mill in the Pacific Northwest. We also service major oil companies and a wide range of manufacturing and industrial clients. CCS has demonstrated its ability to complete large and complex industrial cleaning challenges on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the most stringent industrial health & safety programs. No industrial cleaning job is too large or too small for CCS.
As a CDL A Driver assigned to the Hydro demolition team, which specializes in the automated removal of concrete using high-pressure water technology. The role plays a critical part in the transportation, setup support, and daily logistics of hydro demolition operations. Drivers work closely with hydro demolition operators and field leadership to mobilize specialized equipment, support project execution, and ensure safe and timely delivery of materials to active job sites.
Education and Experience Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
18 years of age or older
Must possess a valid Class A Tanker Endorsement and must meet eligibility requirements to be insured under company’s driving insurance policy.
Hazmat endorsement is preferred, but not required.
2-3 years’ experience driving DOT regulated commercial vehicles is required.
Experience driving heavy loads strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
The CDL Class A Driver possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:
Operator truck controls to engage, move, and reposition vacuum hoses as necessary when operating a vacuum truck.
Safely operate and maintain company vehicles as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
Operate hydro demolition robot and water recycling unit safely and within company protocol
Operate other equipment, such as but not limiting to skid steer, forklift, excavator, loader etc. as necessary perform pre-job check list daily on equipment
Assist in labor activities as needed on job
Drives in accordance with all company safety policies and within all laws, rules, and regulations.
Complete DOT required pre and post trip inspections, completing any required paperwork as needed.
Operate roll off truck as necessary.
Operate truck in accordance with instructions received from dispatch or the supervisor each day.
Loads, unloads, and sets up vacuum hoses at job site when operating the vacuum truck.
Report all accidents and injuries and completes an accident report form when necessary.
Ensures all loads are properly secured prior to driving and maintains safety while driving.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
Move about the jobsite as needed.
Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
Operate machinery in compliance with all safety procedures.
Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
This position is out of Longview, WA, when not traveling for work
Out of town travel is approximately (but not limited up) 80%
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a valid DOT physical examination, including baseline and annual/periodic recertification, as required for the role.
Must be able to successfully complete baseline and annual/periodic audiometric testing as a condition of employment.
