CCTV Drainage Assistant

About the Role: 

The Lanes Group is looking for a CCTV Assistant to assist the lead CCTV Engineer to boost the team and manage our increased workload to our growing network.

Location: Eastleigh, Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to £15.00ph doe

The job:

You will be trained and become familiar with CCTV equipment that montior's the water through the Utilities pipes. This equipment measures the heights and depths of the pipe, as well as checking for any damages that needs to be recorded.

You will use the CCTV equipment to measure the heights and depths of the pipe, as well as to check for any damages that needs to be recorded i.e. debris in the pipe or grease build up.

Initially the role will involve, you accessing the pipe via manhole covers to put the CCTV camera down the pipe with accuracy.

You will then carry out majority of the work from your van which has been installed with the CCTV and computer system for you to carry out the work.

You will be using a tablet to keep records of the work you are carrying out which involves crucial paperwork to be carried out as this needs to be reporting back to the clients you are carrying out the work on behalf of.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in gaining a career in a field based role where you will be hands on in the operations.

Key skills required:

Driver

Ability to work in a 2 person team

IT skills including Excel

Attention to detail and accuracy

OX19 Preferrable

CSCS Card Preferrable

You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. Being flexible is essential, as some jobs may require early starts and/or weekend working.
