Baker’s Best Catering is a full-service catering company with 39 years of experience providing clients with superior food and service throughout the Boston and New England area. Our events range from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate and social functions. Our commitment to quality and service is unmatched.
We are growing and are currently seeking an experienced Catering Full-Service Event Planning Coordinator to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong multi-tasking and time management skills, and excels at relationship-building through phone communication. You will work directly with clients to plan and execute full-service catering and event logistics for both new and existing clientele.
Essential Job Functions:
Collaborate with sales managers and clients to coordinate full-service corporate and social events.
Manage all event logistics, including preparation of kitchen orders, event notes, rentals, and beverage orders.
Organize event details such as floor plans and additional services requested by clients, ensuring smooth execution by the operations team.
Provide creative input for event setups, displays, and presentation.
Communicate event details effectively with the off-site team to develop execution plans.
Maintain clear and proactive communication across departments regarding event details and updates.
Assist the Sales Manager with scheduling site visits and attending client tastings.
Reconcile events and approve department invoices.
Conduct research as needed for project-based assignments.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of hospitality experience, preferably in event planning or catering.
Experience coordinating corporate and social events.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Confident and professional relationship-building skills, especially over the phone.
Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Gmail, and Google Docs.
