The Role
We are looking for a Category Analyst to provide support to the Category Management team, and retailers with category analysis and presentations. This position will require the candidate to exercise discretion and independent judgment while providing retailers and manufacturers analysis and insights. The ideal candidate must be a confident, motivated individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask across business lines.
What You Will Accomplish
Gather and analyze retailer and syndicated data reporting to complete standard and ad hoc reports
Present fact-based findings and recommendations to retailer buying teams
Maintain a copy of report presentations and planogram (POG) files
Maintain a database of item attribute and POGs
Coordinate timing & action and program calendars
Competitive shopping and basic planogramming
Ad-hoc analysis where appropriate
What We Are Looking For
You have 1-3 years of experience working with a major retailer or manufacture
You have a problem-solving mindset and willingness to challenge the established norms
You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
You have been successful in roles requiring analytical skills
You are comfortable with ambiguity and are a self-starter who takes initiative to explore
You have experience with syndicated data tools (IRI, Nielsen)
