Job Title: Offshore Chemist (Casual) Location: Offshore – Aberdeen Salary: Competitive offshore rates Are you ready to bring your expertise to the offshore environment? We’re looking for a Casual Offshore Chemist to join our team on an as-needed basis in Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of laboratory operations, delivering accurate sampling and analysis, and supporting smooth platform performance. What You’ll Do Perform sampling and analysis in line with international standards and documented procedures. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain exceptional analytical performance. Represent SGS on client sites, ensuring compliance with all test methods, procedures, and QHSE requirements. Troubleshoot issues with equipment, methods, or samples, liaising with onshore support to maintain continuity of service. Maintain adequate stock of consumables and ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and safe for use. Complete routine sampling, analysis, and reporting as per client procedures. What We’re Looking For Strong understanding of laboratory best practices and quality systems. Ability to work independently in an offshore environment. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
