Job Description

Hydrostone Academy is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person to join our Facilities Team in a casual capacity. This role supports the health and well-being of our school community by ensuring our spaces are clean, safe, and well cared for.

Position Details

Hours: Approximately 8–10 hours per week

Schedule: Shifts take place after 3:00 pm and/or before 8:00 am

Rate of Pay: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience and shift timing

Employment Type: Casual / Part-time

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, washrooms, hallways, and common areas

Emptying garbage and recycling

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting

Following health and safety protocols and cleaning procedures

Noticing and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns

Working independently and taking pride in maintaining a welcoming school environment

Qualifications & Skills

Previous cleaning or custodial experience is an asset, but not required

Ability to work independently and manage time well

Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility

Physically able to perform cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting)

Reliability and consistency are essential

Must be able to work during the required hours (after school or early mornings)
