The role:

The Casting Technician will play a crucial role in achieving quality, productivity, and delivery while assuring customer satisfaction. You will identify areas for improvement to eliminate ineffective processes.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for prepping MRI beds from start to finish.

Laying fiberglass into MRI mold.

Sanding fiberglass layups multiple times with various grit sandpaper.

Help manage inventory by identifying low stock so more can be ordered.

Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.

Adhering to customer standards on all tool designs and the internal lean manufacturing guidelines.

Maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Developing and implementing process improvements.

Conduct assessments of the MRI bed and Assembly process to provide focused improvement opportunities to increase production efficiencies, times, increase quality, and increase due date performance.

Qualifications:

Highschool education or equivalent is required.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Auto body repair experience is an asset.

Tool maker, pattern maker, model maker experience is an asset.
