Job Overview
Foster First is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our Wenatchee foster care program. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting youth and families and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in foster care.
The Case Manager provides individualized support and service coordination for children in foster care, as well as support to foster and foster-adoptive families. This position focuses on promoting safety, stability, and long-term success for youth through strong case management, advocacy, and collaboration with families, partners, and community resources.
Applicants must live in Wenatchee or the surrounding area.
We anticipate the selected candidate starting between March 30 and April 3.

Position Highlights
This position includes:
Coordinating services and providing individualized case management for youth in foster care
Supporting foster families and collaborating with community partners
Conducting home visits, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements
Participating in court hearings, family meetings, and permanency planning efforts
Providing occasional weekly case time for youth on your caseload
Developing and ensuring implementation of treatment plans within the youth’s foster home and when the individual works directly with the youth.
Leading monthly meetings and demonstrating a strong ability to problem-solve.
This role requires strong organizational skills, professional documentation, and the ability to work effectively with youth ages 5–18 who may have higher behavioral needs.
Case Managers receive training in the Right Response model, equipping staff with trauma-informed de-escalation skills and the ability to respond effectively during crisis or on-call situations.
Schedule & Flexibility
This position does not follow a traditional 9–5 schedule. Case Managers must be available to work some evenings and weekends to conduct home visits, provide youth support, and respond to crisis situations when needed. Travel outside Chelan and Douglas County may occasionally be required (such as Yakima, Kittitas, and Grant County).
Case Managers also participate in after-hours and crisis response rotations, which includes a $100 stipend for each scheduled weekend of on-call coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social services or a closely related field
At least one year of experience working with high-behavior youth (ages 5–18)
Experience with case management, documentation, and case notes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong documentation, relational, and time management skills
Valid Washington State driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
