At this point, Zelh is looking for a Carrier Sales Representative for one of our clients.
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with our carrier partners to ensure the successful execution of freight shipments. Operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will manage a carrier portfolio, source capacity, negotiate rates, and resolve service issues with agility and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a portfolio of carrier relationships to support customer freight needs
• Negotiate pricing and secure capacity for both spot and contracted freight
• Maintain at least 10 loads per day, while buying at or better than market
• Maintain regular communication with carriers to proactively address service disruptions and ensure high-quality execution
• Meet and exceed daily performance metrics, including outbound calls, proactive tracking, and service reliability
• Leverage internal tools and external resources to strategically source carrier capacity
• Monitor and analyze market trends to inform pricing decisions and optimize carrier utilization
