At this point, Zelh is looking for a Capacity Representative for one of our clients.
Our client is an established US-based logistics and transportation company providing comprehensive freight brokerage services across multiple modes. They work with high-visibility customers and prioritize building strong carrier relationships to deliver reliable, high-quality service.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to support additional lines of business for an existing customer account. This role will work closely with senior capacity and operations leadership, focusing on proactive capacity procurement through direct carrier outreach rather than relying primarily on load boards. This is a collaborative, high-accountability position ideal for someone with deep carrier market connections and a proven book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively call out to carriers to secure capacity for customer freight (primary approach vs. relying on DAT/load boards)
• Work alongside an in-office team member to coordinate load coverage and capacity solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with middle to small carriers who meet company quality standards
• Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring carrier reliability and service standards
• Coordinate multi-mode shipments and manage logistics across different transportation types
• Use McLeod TMS for load management, tracking, and documentation
• Communicate effectively with high-visibility customers and internal operations teams
• Provide regular status updates and proactive problem-solving for any transit issues
• Maintain a trusted carrier network and continuously expand carrier relationships
• Meet or exceed performance metrics and capacity goals
• Ensure seamless execution from pickup through delivery
