They focus on building strong partnerships with both customers and carriers to deliver reliable, cost-effective logistics services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a self-motivated Carrier Sales / Account Management Representative to find and bring in new business while managing carrier relationships. This role combines business development with carrier sales, requiring strong persuasion skills, a proactive approach, and a solid work ethic. The ideal candidate is driven to build their own book of business and grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively prospect and identify new carrier partnerships and business opportunities
• Build and expand a personal book of carrier relationships
• Generate new freight opportunities through outbound sales efforts
• Develop strategic relationships with carriers to secure capacity
• Source, negotiate with, and onboard new carrier partners
• Maintain and grow existing carrier relationships
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while ensuring quality service
• Manage carrier communications throughout the shipment lifecycle
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned carrier accounts
• Build long-term, trusted relationships with carrier partners
• Ensure carrier satisfaction and retention through excellent service
• Identify opportunities to expand business with existing carriers
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
• Track and manage sales activities in CRM
• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution
• Stay informed about market trends, rates, and capacity conditions
