As a Carpet Carpenter Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of carpet and carpet-related materials in residential and commercial properties. This role plays a key part in restoration projects by delivering clean, professional flooring finishes that return spaces to a safe and livable condition. You will work alongside other skilled trades and project leads to ensure timely, high-quality results.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, precision, and delivering a finished product that clients immediately notice.
Key Responsibilities
Install new carpet, carpet tiles, and carpet padding
Remove damaged or existing carpet and prepare subfloors
Stretch, seam, cut, and secure carpet using industry-standard tools
Perform carpet repairs and patching as part of restoration work
Install tack strips, transitions, and trims as needed
Measure areas accurately to ensure proper material fit
Follow work orders, layouts, and verbal instructions
Safely operate hand and power tools related to flooring installation
Inspect finished work to ensure quality, durability, and appearance
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
Assist with other restoration or carpentry tasks as needed

Requirements
Carpet installation or flooring experience preferred but not required
Strong interest in flooring and finish trades
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor (kneeling, bending, stretching, standing for extended periods)
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Availability for occasional overtime, including emergency situations
Ability to work indoors and in varying job site conditions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
