SUMMARY
The CTE Instructor will plan, prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate quality, competency-based CTE (Career and Technical Education) course(s) The CTE Instructor will lead and develop student skills sufficient to qualify them for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education by utilizing the most effective instructional methods and techniques available in Career and Technical Education.
FULL TIME - will be required to work the AM & Mid shift.

11:30 AM - 3:00 PM Class
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Prep.
4:30 PM - 7:30 PM Class
Tuesday & Thursday
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM Class
12:30 PM - 3:00 PM Class
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Prep
Fridays
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM Class
12:30 PM - 3:00 PM Prep
**This position is a 10 month position meaning you will work August-June and have summers off.**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to the following: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter.
Focus instruction on developing high expectations/outcomes for student achievement.
Demonstrated ability to utilize effective instructional techniques in a Career and Technical Educational environment.
Utilize multiple student data elements for the purpose of assessing student progress
Plan, organize, and teach CTE programs.
Exhibit collaborative and collegial practices focused on improving instructional strategies and student learning.
Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), while demonstrating professionalism and collegiality toward teammates.
Promote and encourage a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment that promotes positive student behavior and success.
Participate in development of activities designed to promote an innovative learning experience.
Maintain and submit appropriate records utilizing Google applications.
Provide information and counseling to students relative to employment, career opportunities and continuing education.
Participate in meetings, training, and professional development.
Understand and comply with FIELD policies and procedures.

Ability to operate a computer.
Possess the skills needed to learn and utilize software and other technology in CTE instruction.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other professionals in a team setting.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge and consistent practice of the ethical guidelines as outlined by FIELD, federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
Ability to assist with developing the program.
Ability to contribute expertise in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards in the area of expertise.
Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Must have tuberculosis (TB) clearance or obtain TB clearance before beginning work. ∙
Must be able to pass fingerprinting (Live Scan) and criminal record clearance by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree
Previous experience working in a CTE class setting
Must hold a California CTE credential in Business authorizing service for the position in which employed.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must hold a California CTE credential authorizing service for the position in which employed.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to travel as needed/required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, reports, etc. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
