Career Management Director
Our Career Management department is in need for a technically-savvy, people-person that can multi-task and tackle a number of different responsibilities based on the needs of the college and students. The students come first and each of their situations are uniquely different. Examples of responsibilities below.
Required in office working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm in Morgantown, WV
Bachelors Required, Masters Preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students, faculty staff, external partners, employers and community.
Demonstration of technical proficiency.
Demonstration of commitment to student success and fostering an inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Placement Support
Achieve programmatic and institutional placement rate goals for online programs
Assist alumni with career growth and development
Promote networking through social media and the institution’s website for students and alumni.
Assist current students with part-time employment while in school
Teaching
Instruct courses every six weeks based on qualifications. This would include a Career Preparation course covering professional documents, interviewing, job seeking skills and professionalism.
Survey Oversight
Conduct and mange surveys for students, externs, graduates and employers ensuring data is accessible for programmatic improvement and promptly reporting notable findings.
Employer/Community Relations
Build and maintain strong community and employer relationships to support student employment, future programmatic growth and development, maintain housing resources and develop in-field placement opportunities.
Event Coordination
Plan and implement graduation ceremonies and career fairs.
Student Engagement and Retention
Engage with students regularly to assess needs and provide additional support when necessary.
Collaborate with Program Leadership to foster a supportive environment for academic and career development.
Coordinate with faculty and program leadership to monitor student progress and provide resources.
Accreditation and Compliance
Conduct internal audits correlating with the accreditation standards.
Assist in maintaining documentation of compliance activities.
Assist in the preparation of reports to regulatory bodies, accrediting agencies and the management team.
Regularly assess compliance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Programmatic Support
Provide programmatic support through curriculum, accreditation standards and continuous support.
Support faculty development through compliance and documentation.
Administrative Tasks
Upload placement documentation, update faculty information and contribute to blogs posts as assigned.
Ethics and Compliance
Keep apprised of and abide by all Federal and State regulations and accrediting criteria as pertains to the duties and responsibilities of this position
