• Base Pay Range:

• $27.72/hour (entry range)

• Up to $34.32/hour (10 years experience)

• Up to $39.60/hour (15+ years experience)

• Specialty Differential: +$1.50/hour

• Night Differential (if applicable in future): +$4.25/hour

• Sign-On Bonus:

• $10,000 (Days)

• $15,000 (Nights, if applicable)

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CVICU RN to join a cardiovascular intensive care unit in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

This 8-bed, high-acuity unit provides care to critically ill cardiac and post-operative cardiovascular patients, including open-heart surgery cases. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical care assessment skills, comfort managing complex cardiac conditions, and the ability to function effectively in a collaborative ICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessments.

• Administer vasoactive drips and advanced cardiac therapies as ordered.

• Conduct frequent reassessments and respond rapidly to clinical changes.

• Serve as patient and family advocate.

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.

• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams.

Unit Details

• 8-bed CVICU

• Level II Trauma Center

• High workload, fast-paced environment

• Reports to CVICU Director

• Interview includes phone screening followed by onsite or virtual panel

Required

• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ER, ICU, or CVICU experience (within last 3 years).

• PCU/IMCU experience considered with 2+ years total experience.

• Current BLS certification.

Required Within 6 Months

• ACLS certification.

Required Within 30 Days

• NIHSS Stroke Certification.

Preferred

• BSN degree.

• CCRN certification (must obtain within 2 years if not currently certified).

• Cardiovascular ICU experience strongly preferred.
