Salary Range: Min: $29.92 -Mid: $39.21(10 years of experience)- Max: $44.88 (17 years of experience)

Night Diff: $4/h (No weekend Shift diff)

Overview

Join a high-acuity Cardiac Med-Surg/Telemetry unit within a large acute-care hospital serving the Panama City region. This team cares for cardiovascular medical-surgical patients including heart failure, chest-pain rule-out, post-procedure non-ICU cases, and arrhythmia monitoring. RNs collaborate closely with cardiology, ED, and inpatient teams to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused cardiac assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring.

• Identify and escalate changes in patient condition promptly.

• Administer medications safely; document responses; follow evidence-based standards.

• Coordinate care with providers, charge nurses, case management, and ancillary teams.

• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications.

• Support safety initiatives (fall prevention, infection control, accurate handoffs).

• Promote unit throughput, discharge readiness, and strong patient outcomes.

Required:

• Active Florida RN license (or Compact with FL conversion).

• Recent acute care RN experience:

• Within the past 3 years, OR

• Within the past 5 years if the RN has several years of total experience.

• BLS (AHA) — required within 30 days of hire.

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (ASN/ADN).

Training Provided:

• All additional telemetry/cardiac competencies provided by the facility.

Compensation & Incentives

• Base pay: $27.72–$39.60/hr (experience-based).

• Sign-On Bonus:

• Nights: $15,000

• Days: $10,000

• Relocation assistance available case-by-case.
