Cardiac Med-Surg RN- Nights (Telemetry)

• Base Pay: $27.72–$39.60/hr (DOE).

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Nights); $10,000 (Days).

• Relocation: Available on a case-by-case basis.

Provide care on a high-acuity Cardiac Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in a large acute-care hospital serving the Panama City area. Care for cardiovascular patients including heart failure, chest-pain rule-outs, post-procedure non-ICU cases, and arrhythmia monitoring. Collaborate with ED, cardiology, and inpatient teams to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused cardiac assessments; monitor telemetry and trends; escalate status changes promptly.

• Administer medications safely; document responses; follow evidence-based protocols and core measures.

• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to improve throughput and discharge readiness.

• Provide education to patients and families on condition, medications, risk-factor modification, and follow-up.

• Maintain unit safety standards (falls prevention, infection control, accurate handoffs).

Required

• Active RN license (FL or Compact).

• Acute care RN experience: within the last 3 years; or within the last 5 years if candidate has multiple years of total RN experience.

• BLS (within 30 days of start).

• Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing (or higher).

Preferred

• Cardiac/Telemetry or Med-Surg RN background.

• Strong skills in patient education, discharge planning, and telemetry interpretation.
