About BioLite:

BioLite is a for-profit social enterprise that develops, manufactures and markets distributed energy solutions for off-grid communities around the world. Our business serves two distinct markets, developing-world families living in energy poverty, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking off-grid cooking, charging and lighting products. BioLite has now delivered clean energy access to over fourteen million people and has mitigated more than five million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

BioLite believes in a bright and safe future for all, and that includes life at work. BioLite is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace where we aim to help everyone to show up as their full selves. An inclusive environment and culture makes our solutions better and our entire team smarter. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.

This Role:

BioLite is looking for a Carbon Sales Manager to market and sell carbon credits across both voluntary and compliance-adjacent markets. BioLite develops high-integrity carbon credits from the use of our products. People across Sub-Saharan Africa use these products, especially clean and efficient biomass cookstoves. We channel the revenues generated back to projects in the form of lower prices and other customer benefits.

BioLite issues approximately 1M carbon credits annually and focuses increasingly on accessing next-generation demand, including Article 6.2, CORSIA-eligible credits, and CCP-aligned voluntary markets. You will originate and close transactions across these channels, working with our teams and external counterparties to navigate evolving market rules, eligibility requirements, and buyer needs.

You will sell BioLite's credits into high-impact, high-integrity markets, thereby fulfilling BioLite's mission to help provide Energy for All.

You Will:

Manage work flows in the following key areas:

Increase sales of BioLite carbon credits to corporate buyers, airlines, sovereign or quasi-sovereign counterparties, and intermediaries, across:

Voluntary markets (including CCP-aligned demand)

Article 6.2 bilateral and multilateral transactions

CORSIA-eligible pathways, including engagement with airlines and aggregators

Develop a robust pipeline of:

Corporate buyers looking for spot purchases and long-term offtake agreements

Market intermediaries, brokers, and platforms, including those focused on Article 6.2, CORSIA, and compliance-adjacent markets

Structure and negotiate spot sales, forward contracts, and multi-year offtake agreements, with internal legal, finance, and project teams

Work to ensure BioLite projects, documentation, and issuance pathways are aligned with:

Article 6.2 authorization and corresponding adjustment requirements

CORSIA eligibility criteria

CCP and other high-integrity market standards as they evolve

In partnership with the marketing team, develop sales and investor materials that articulate BioLite's credit quality, integrity attributes, and eligibility across voluntary and compliance markets

Represent BioLite at carbon finance, aviation, climate policy, and corporate sustainability conferences, building relationships with buyers, intermediaries, and regulators

Forge partnerships with brokerage platforms, exchanges, and auction mechanisms to expand routes to market

Manage buyer onboarding, including KYC, due diligence, and contracting processes

You Have:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

Existing relationships within carbon markets, climate finance, aviation, or corporate sustainability networks

Prior sales or deal-making experience, involving:

Voluntary carbon credits

Article 6 or compliance-adjacent mechanisms

Other intangible or structured environmental commodities

Working knowledge of:

Voluntary carbon markets and evolving integrity frameworks (e.g., CCPs)

Article 6.2 concepts and transaction structures

CORSIA demand dynamics and eligibility requirements

Experience using market mechanisms to address climate change

Ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior decision-makers across corporations, intermediaries, and public-sector entities

Strong writing, analytical, and quantitative skills

Deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple complex sales processes in parallel
