What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced professional Capture Manager on a consulting basis to support a targeted set of upcoming Navy pursuits, focusing on strategic capture planning, positioning, and execution for those specific opportunities.
This individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and driving capture efforts for new and recompete opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the DoD acquisition environment and has direct experience supporting contracts at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Dahlgren, and Washington Navy Yard.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end capture planning and execution, from opportunity identification through proposal handoff
Conduct competitor analysis, win strategy development, and price-to-win planning
Collaborate with internal teams on solutioning, teaming, and proposal strategies
Build and manage capture timelines, gate reviews, and key milestones
Develop and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, primes, and teammates
Gather and analyze intel from customers, partners, and industry resources to shape and position capture efforts
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in federal capture management with a focus on DoD programs
Demonstrated experience supporting or managing contracts
Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, requirements generation, and contract vehicles
Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams during the capture lifecycle
Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with both prime and subcontractor positions on Navy contracts (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NSWCDD, etc)
Familiarity with proposal development and solutioning for IT, engineering, or mission support services
Existing network of industry and government contacts within the Navy
Travel Requirements
Local travel for customer visits or events as required (Lexington Park, MD; Dahlgren, Virginia; Washington, DC)
