WR is one of the fastest growing immigration service providers worldwide with over 40 attorneys and 150 immigration professionals working out of offices in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Michigan, New York, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Shanghai.
The Canadian Law Clerk is an integral part of the firm’s Canadian practice, working under the supervision of Canadian attorneys and senior legal professionals to support the preparation and management of Canadian immigration matters. The Canadian Law Clerk assists with the preparation of immigration applications, conducts legal research, and supports case strategy while ensuring that filings meet regulatory requirements and client service standards. This position is open to applicants in Canada only.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft Canadian immigration applications and supporting documentation, including work permits, LMIA applications, permanent residence applications, and other submissions to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Review and analyze supporting documentation provided by clients to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable immigration requirements.
Under the direction of attorneys or senior legal professionals, conduct legal and policy
research related to Canadian immigration programs, procedures, and eligibility
requirements.
Assist attorneys and consultants with case preparation, including drafting legal submissions and compiling evidence in support of applications.
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and provide updates regarding case status and filing requirements.
Track important deadlines related to filings, renewals, and compliance issues
Maintain accurate case records and update internal case management systems in a timely and consistent manner.
Assist with the preparation of responses to requests for additional information from government authorities.
Utilize internal technology platforms, including WRapid and other case management tools, to track case progress and manage documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma relevant field.
2+ years of experience supporting Canadian immigration with a focus on work permit applications preferred.
Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration processes and government filing requirements.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Salary may vary based on location and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position is $54,000 to $68,000 CAD.
