The YMCA Southwestern New Brunswick is working hard to address the critical issues facing the region; the health crisis, population decline, youth outmigration and child poverty. The Opportunity
As the Campaign Development Officer, you will play a key role in securing the philanthropic support needed to make this community project a reality. You will build meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, corporate partners, and volunteers while helping shape and deliver a capital campaign that will have a lasting impact for generations to come.

Responsibilities
Identify, research, and cultivate major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors
support the planning and execution of a comprehensive capital campaign strategy
Support the development of a compelling case for support and campaign materials
Lead personalized donor outreach, meetings, and presentations
Build and maintain strong, long-term donor relationships through thoughtful stewardship
Support and engage campaign volunteers and committee members in outreach efforts
Track campaign activity, donations, pledges, and prospect development, and prepare progress reports
Assist with campaign visibility through marketing and communication efforts, including newsletters, social media, and community outreach
Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure large-scale funding
Establish and manage corporate partnerships and sponsorships
Oversee the pledge process, including invoicing and follow-up on commitments
Ensure timely and meaningful donor recognition, acknowledgements, and tax receipting
Skills and Qualifications
3–5 years of fundraising experience (paid or volunteer), including major gifts, campaigns, or grants
Post-secondary education in a related field
Proven success building relationships and securing philanthropic support
Strong written communication skills, with experience in proposal or grant writing
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and with volunteers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge is an asset)
Experience with design tools such as Canva is an asset

Competitive Compensation: $42,000–$51,000.
