McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a CAD Drafter for full-time (hybrid) work in Moncls Corner, SC.

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm focused in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electric Utility Services, Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.

As a McCall-Thomas CAD Drafter, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. The primary responsibilities for this role include:

Using MicroStation, AutoCAD and MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applicable software programs. You will need to be proficient using features of AutoCAD such as layering, dimensioning, plotting, coordinates, etc., and use basic math skills for dimension and scale drawing elements

Applying McCall-Thomas drafting standards to drawings

Completing material take-offs

Performing basic electrical and design calculations, such as land acreage, material volumes, structural steel weights, conduit sizing, etc.

Developing construction standards and creating specification drawings for fiber projects

Developing and updating RUS specification books

What Will You Need (required):

Completion of drafting program through an accredited technical college.

Minimum five years of site-based drafting/AutoCAD experience with a utility or engineering consulting firm

Experience needed in site-based civil CAD projects, structural steel CAD detailing & structures work, single lines and AC/DC elementary diagrams

MicroStation experience required

Experience using a model file or XREF file within the CAD file for site-based projects

Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship is required

Valid driver's license required (with clean driving record)
