General Description of Position:  We are seeking a Computer Aided Draftsperson (with minor design and detailing) to produce 2D fabrication shop drawings for heavy highway bridge construction projects. This role supports our manufacturing team, and our clientele's field installation teams by creating accurate, buildable plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Review projects scope, drawings, and specs for conflicts

Addressed conflicts through RFI submissions and communication with clients

Create prestress deck panel shop drawings for fabrication and installation using AutoCAD

Include applicable standard drawings, notes and details

Review the work for accuracy and correctness

Maintain updated standard CAD files and details

Adhere to standardized layer management procedures, naming conventions, and file structure requirements

Submit and revise drawings based on engineering and field feedback if required

Support shop and field teams with questions/details

Maintain priority schedules and customer deadlines for drawing submission

Preferred Qualifications

AutoCAD or similar software proficiency

Ability to read civil and structural construction drawings

Ability to learn TX Department of Transportation standard drawings and standard specifications related to the prestressed concrete

Basic computer and math skills

Experience and Education:
Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar certifications is required
