Duties & Role:
• Provide professional and technical contributions to the design, development and execution of DCIS engineering projects.
• Contribute and participate in a Development-Operations (DevOps) environment using concepts like continuous integration, continuous change management, deployment automation and system monitoring.
• Support junior staff with incident management, service request and problem management processes as the senior engineer and ultimate problem solver;
• Provide DCIS engineering support to technically plan and execute NATO approved exercises, either on-site or from remote.
• Documenting designs and implementations of assigned services as well as troubleshooting guides;
• Plan, schedule, participate and lead technical support teams in support of projects and exercises;
• Provide on the job training, when necessary, in order to maintain highly skilled and trained technical support for the Service Line;
• Deputize for higher grade staff;
• Performs additional duties as may be required.
Requirements:
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of centralized storage systems based on FC, iSCSI, SAS or Hyper converged technology like vSAN;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Recent Virtualization Technologies based on VMWare ESXi and Virtual Centre;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Recent Microsoft Windows Server and Redhat Linux Operating Systems;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Expert Directory, Identity and Access Management consisting of multiple interconnected and federated Active Directory Domains and Forests;
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Expert DNS resolution, server hardening, AD troubleshooting and GPO development
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Microsoft Remote Desktop solutions, or related Application provisioning technology
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of High Availability Systems (i.e. Fail-over clustering, Database Availability Groups, stretched clusters, etc)
• At least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Windows patching and anti-malware update systems
• At least 3 years' active participation in a DevOps team with demonstrable experience of Bash or PowerShell scripting languages and automation and orchestration tools.
• Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles
• Knowledge of ITIL IT service management mode and applied knowledge of Service Transition.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing technical manuals.
