Duties & Role:
Deliver role-based (operational or managerial) and/or technical training/learning solutions to adult learners, in order to effect improvement in the learners' job performance, in accordance with NATO policy, guidance and standards.
Develop, adapt and maintain course/learning solutions and continuously improve subject matter expertise.
Requirements:
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Recent experience (at least 5 years) with providing training on highly technical subjects to both non-technical personnel as well as technical specialists.
• Professional experience in learning delivery methodologies for adult learners.
• Previous experience with online and blended learning technologies including Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Demonstrable practical experience in the operation, testing, and maintenance of modern Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems.
• Demonstrable in-depth knowledge in SATCOM communication technology.
To include but not limited to:
• Knowledge of Antenna sub-systems (e.g. Radome, feed horn, reflector, pedestal, waveguides, tracking receiver, control systems);
• Knowledge of Transmitting and receiving chains (e.g. Combiners/Dividers, frequency converters, Low Noise Amplifiers, High Power Amplifiers);
• Knowledge of Baseband and modem (e.g. Routing, Switching, digital and modulation processes);
• Knowledge of Testing and maintenance (e.g. Spectrum Analysers, Signal Analysers, Power Meters, interpreting electronic/electrical diagrams, Satellite link and equipment test procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance actions);
• Experience in teaching SATCOM systems.
• Desirable: Working in a NATO SATCOM deployed exercise or operation environments, or equivalent experience
