By deepening your IP knowledge with a cooperation of global IP team, it enables us to offer a global and practical IP solution. 
1. Tool & System Development & Enhancement:
o Design, develop, customize, and implement software tools and platforms for IP data mining, patent searching, landscaping, analytics, visualization, and reporting.
o Develop and evaluate new methods, concepts, and tools for IP intelligence, potentially utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP), machine learning (ML) models, network analysis, and advanced data visualization and reporting techniques.
o Identify opportunities for and implement automation of IP-related workflows and processes, such as prior art searching, patent monitoring, freedom-to-operate analysis support, and competitive intelligence gathering.
2. Data Analytics & Insights Delivery:
o Perform complex data analysis on patent and non-patent literature to extract actionable insights, identify trends, support IP strategy, and prepare business relevant decisions.
3. Technology Scouting & Implementation:
o Continuously scout, evaluate, benchmark, and recommend new IP-related technologies, AI tools, data sources, and analytical methodologies.
o Support the implementation and integration of new IP technology solutions.
4. Collaboration & Technical Support:
o Partner closely with IP attorneys, patent agents, R&D teams, data scientists, and IT departments to understand their needs and deliver effective technological solutions.
o Provide technical support, training, and best-practice guidance to users of IP tools and systems.
5. Project Management:
o Manage projects related to the implementation or enhancement of IP technology systems and tools, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
o [3-5+] years of experience in a technology-focused role, preferably within an IP, R&D, or legal tech environment.
o Proven experience in developing and implementing software solutions, data analytics tools, or automation scripts.
o Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python, and familiarity with relevant libraries (e.g., for NLP, ML, data analysis).
o Strong knowledge of database technologies and data warehousing concepts.
o Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, programmatic libraries like D3.js, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
o Familiarity with API integrations and web scraping techniques.
o Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services is a plus.
JPO Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of the Japan Patent Office (JPO) patent and trademark prosecution lifecycle, from filing to grant and maintenance.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency and significant hands-on experience with IP management software is essential. Experience in data migration. Tools Power BI and Tableau
Language Skills: Native-level fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) and business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken) for effective communication with global teams and foreign associates.
