C-17 Senior Project Management Specialist

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to join the C-17 Program team in San Antonio, TX. This role will work directly on the C-17 Program by leading affordability projects, managing on time delivery (OTD) of components and services, partnering directly with the US Air Force customer, and providing cross-functional coordination with various program stakeholders. Using Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs) and Risks, Issues, and Opportunity (RIO) Management, this role will collaborate with internal functions and external customers to manage critical special projects to continuously improve the C-17 program.
Position Responsibilities:
• Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards
• Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests
• Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
• Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules
• Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry
• Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
• Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders
• Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 10+ years’ experience in a role requiring project/program management skills
• 10+ years’ experience leading cross functional teams
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
• Experience developing program implementation/integration plans
• Aerospace industry experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience in sustainment services or post-production support
• Experience supporting projects or programs utilizing Earned Value Management
• Experience with developing government proposals
• Experience working in a multi-disciplined government contracts environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $146,200 - $197,800
