Buyer / Receiver – Norco North Shore
Location: Norco North Shore, North Vancouver
Key Responsibilities:
Norco North Shore is the flagship retail location for Norco Bicycles, Canada’s most iconic mountain bike brand. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Buyer / Receiver to join our team and play a central role in the flow of all products coming into and leaving the store.
This is a critical operational position responsible for inventory accuracy, product availability, and smooth customer experiences across in-store, online, and service operations. Position Overview
The Buyer / Receiver ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of all inventory through Norco North Shore: bikes, parts, accessories, apparel, service components, and online orders. This role supports sales, service, warranty, accounting, and e-commerce functions, and is essential in maintaining revenue flow, margin integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Inventory Management & Receiving
Receive all inbound product: bikes, soft goods, parts, accessories, and service items
Tag, price, and prepare all items for the sales floor and POS
Ensure all products are accurately entered into the POS system
Maintain inventory accuracy to reduce shrink and prevent stock loss
Purchasing & Ordering
Manage daily replenishment orders
Maintain seasonal booking orders
Process and track all customer special orders
Support the service team with timely parts purchasing and allocation
E-Commerce & Online Fulfillment
Maintain accurate inventory levels on the website
Pick, pack, and fulfill online orders efficiently
Ensure correct product information is published online
Warranty & Supplier Relations
Process and track all warranty claims and follow up with vendors
Coordinate supplier returns and ensure credits are received
Communicate with vendors regarding delivery issues, discrepancies, and backorders
Operational Support
Match all vendor invoices with received product
Identify and resolve discrepancies (incorrect costs, quantities, freight charges)
Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate AP processing
Work closely with sales and service to maintain product flow
Ensure the sales floor, backroom, and service intake areas are stocked and organized
Support store readiness during product launches, seasonal transitions, and events
Applicant Should Possess:
Previous experience in a bike shop, retail receiving, or inventory role (preferred)
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Comfortable working with POS systems, spreadsheets, and online inventory tools
Ability to multitask in a busy retail/service environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Physically capable of lifting bikes and boxes (up to 40–50 lbs)
A passion for bikes and the cycling industry is a strong asset
