KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE:

Product Development and Range Building:

• To assist in the development of customer and market focused product collections by keeping a keen eye on the market, competition, current and forthcoming fashion trends. Attend relevant shoe fairs and fashion exhibitions.
• Actively investigate and propose new product opportunities within the relevant brand or branded market to ensure sales are optimised and brand development is continuous.

Product Performance:

• Manage a comprehensive and accurate delivery schedule, that meets and supports the needs of the business and liaise with direct line of report regarding any late deliveries, cancellation or negotiating suitable discounts.
• Attend weekly meetings with your Merchandiser to review performance of the department and to discuss and agree an action plan regarding sales, margins, stock levels and delivery status.
• Sustain and develop a close and open working relationship with the Merchandising Team that will ensure in-season trading issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Managerial Support

• Create reports for the Company Management as requested.
• Deal with the administration and monitor and respond to such correspondence when necessary.
• Work alongside the Merchandise Team in the preparation of seasonal reviews and strategic planning for the forthcoming season

Requirements:
• Previous Buying experience
• Background in branded footwear buying is preferred
• Very organised with strong analytical skills
• Personable with excellent communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of products and brands
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user
