Business Systems Engineer (f/m/d)

We're looking for a motivated professional with a Swiss Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) to join our Internal Systems team. In this versatile role, you'll support various business functions – from Sales and Supply Chain to Finance and Marketing – while actively driving our company's digital evolution.
You'll report directly to the Head of Business Systems and work in a small, agile team that manages and continuously optimizes our technological infrastructure across continents.

What will you do:
• System Administration & Development: Managing and enhancing SAP Business One (T-SQL version) along with other enterprise systems that keep our global operations running smoothly. Leading the migration of legacy processes to modern 2025+ standards
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Creating and maintaining sophisticated reports and interactive dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI, delivering actionable insights across the organization. Designing professional, user-friendly Power BI reports that drive data-informed decision-making
• Process Optimization: Analyzing and improving production and finance processes in close collaboration with business stakeholders. Not being afraid to challenge and modernize existing workflows for 2025 and beyond
• Application Lifecycle Management: Showcasing new developments, analyzing existing applications, and rigorously testing both current and emerging solutions to ensure optimal performance and business value
• Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Communicating and coordinating with international teams across multiple continents and cultures – from Singapore to Spain
• Training & Knowledge Transfer: Delivering effective training programs to colleagues across all departments and cultural backgrounds, ensuring widespread adoption of new systems and processes
• Technical Solution Development: Contributing to developing scripts and automations that drive efficiency across our operations
• CRM Support: Assisting in maintaining and optimizing our CRM system (ideally SugarCRM or similar)

What do we expect:
• Swiss Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) in IT (Informatiker/in EFZ or equivalent)
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL and SSRS
• Programming knowledge in C#, PHP, or other languages/scripting
• Practical Power BI expertise with proven ability to design effective reports and dashboards
• Experience analyzing, testing, and validating business applications
• Experience with SAP Business One (T-SQL version) preferred 
• Experience with CRM systems (ideally SugarCRM)
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and their practical applications in the real world making a real difference
• Strong analytical skills and structured approach to problem-solving
• Genuine curiosity to understand production, supply chain and financial processes
• Confident communicator in international, multicultural settings
• Confident with modernizing legacy processes and driving digital transformation
• Ability to train and mentor users from diverse departments and cultural backgrounds
• Can-do mentality paired with critical thinking about broader impacts
• Eagerness to learn new systems and technologies
• Fluent language skills in English
• German is considered a plus
