We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst – IBM Maximo Expert to join our Information Technology / Enterprise Applications team. Acting as the functional and technical authority for the IBM Maximo EAM platform, this role supports asset lifecycle management, maintenance operations, and regulatory compliance across asset-intensive operations. The position combines strong business analysis capabilities with deep hands-on Maximo expertise and close collaboration with operations, IT, and external partners.

What you’re responsible for:

• Act as the primary functional point of contact for business users regarding IBM Maximo.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and system enhancements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Configure and optimize Maximo modules (Assets, Work Management, PM, Inventory, Purchasing, Contracts).
• Manage Maximo configuration (Application Designer, Database Configuration, workflows, security, escalations).
• Support upgrades, patches, enhancements, and impact analysis (7.x / MAS).
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution.
• Support and monitor integrations with ERP, GIS, finance, HR, and reporting systems.
• Lead or support UAT, regression testing, deployments, and end-user adoption.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

To join our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems or Functional Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Maximo (7.x and/or Maximo Application Suite – MAS).
• Solid understanding of asset management and maintenance operations.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional design.
• Experience working with integrations, data flows, and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Assets / Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations or migrations.
• Knowledge of SQL, BIRT reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (utilities, manufacturing, transportation, aviation, recycling).
• IBM Maximo certification(s).
• Exposure to IT governance, security, and audit requirements.
