About the role | Mō te tūranga:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our team as a Business Support Administrator at our Christchurch lab. This is a fixed-term, part-time position of 40 hours per fortnight, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our administrative functions and support both our senior medical specialists and the wider laboratory team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and taking initiative. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, contributing to a professional, dynamic, and collaborative environment where your efforts directly support high-quality patient care and efficient laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to senior medical practitioners and the laboratory team.
Manage travel, seminar/conference bookings, and Continuing Education allowances.
Help optimize operations so the medical team can focus on patient care.
Perform a variety of administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role you need to have:
Have relevant administrative experience and enjoy a varied workload.
Can work independently and as part of a wider team.
Are disciplined, self-motivated, and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Maintain a positive outlook and adapt easily to changing priorities.
Possess strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Use your initiative to make decisions and identify opportunities to improve processes.
Are proficient in MS Office and experienced with Intranet or SharePoint sites.
Have an excellent eye for detail and understand the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
