Purpose of the Job:
Are you ready to launch your career in the fast-paced world of professional sports? Join us as a hands-on, motivated intern supporting the following departments: Commercial, Operations, Membership, and Communications. By working across several key business areas, they will gain practical knowledge, transferable skills, and exposure to multiple disciplines within the organisation. Gaining real world experience working within a professional cricket club. You will assist senior leaders, taking on diverse responsibilities, from providing support on Match Days to working behind the scenes supporting our members and driving our Communications efforts.
This is your chance to develop sought after skills in operations, Communications, commercial and business support, all while contributing to impactful projects that drive business success.
What you’ll do
Commercial
Work alongside the commercial director support business relationships with key stakeholders, developing a culture of trust and professionalism
Help to run and organise events by liaising with stakeholders to manage expectations and logistics
Work with the operations team to ensure invoicing is up to date, owning all client communications
Operations
Work alongside senior operations manager by overseeing player match day logistics
Assist in managing the expense claims for the Men’s & Women’s Cricket Department
Assisting in the organisation and running of all home matches at venues away from Lord’s
Onsite set up/close down at match day events and supporting the delivery of a match day experience for customers
Membership
Working with the membership team to respond to members queries in a professional manner
Providing match day support for members when required
Helping with administrative tasks
Communications
Work alongside the communications team to support on match day set up and take down process.
Assist on Annual Report and Reviews to drive cross departmental alignment, ensuring key timeline is achieved
Support on content creation, platform management and ensuring communication between the team and 3rd party Social Media partner is managed

The person:
Prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends
Proficient in IT systems, especially Microsoft office and Teams.
Highly organised and self-motivated
Attention to detail
A high degree of personal resilience to cope with the demands of working within elite sport
Can-do attitude, flexible and adaptable
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Confidence working alone and as part of a team
Willingness to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
