Business and Planning - Regulatory and Safety 
This role sits in the Council’s Customer and Community Group who provide facilities and services that help create a safe, vibrant and inclusive city, comprising community facilities, parks and recreation, customer services, city safe, and resilience and regulatory services.
He angituutanga: The opportunity 
We are looking for a Business Support Administrator to join our Business and Planning Unit within our Customer and Community group. 
Reporting to the Business and Planning Lead, as the Business Support Administrator you will provide administration support to the Regulatory Services Unit and Safety and Resilience Unit which comprises of Building, Health, Alcohol, Animal Control, City Safety and Civil Defense. The role has a particular focus on purchasing and administration support to these Units. 
You will be a professional communicator, a task orientated person who is highly organised and able to ensure the day-to-day admin and financial processes are delivered to a high standard. 
Some of the key duties are:
• Provide high quality administration support to the Unit Director and leadership team
• Organise meetings, take minutes, and coordinate catering
• Maintain filing systems, training records and staff records
• Process invoices, purchase orders and order stationary
• Review and update administration processes
• Support units with meeting their Council and statutory requirements

• Bring an understanding of and commitment to delivering on the principals of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Minimum 2 years administration experienced preferred in financial and process monitoring and improvement
• Excellent level of accuracy in administration process, ability to multi-task and be organised to deliver required workflow
• A natural team player, able to influence across teams and demonstrate a high level of confidence and professionalism communicating administration needs

Circa $74,000 dependent on skills and experience.
