Watershed is the enterprise sustainability platform. Companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens use Watershed to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting including CSRD, and drive real decarbonization. We are looking for team members who love product-building, want to work hard at a mission-oriented startup, and will collaborate with us in shaping the culture of a growing team.

The role

We’re hiring a business recruiter in Mexico City to help build Watershed’s team on the ground and also support some North America hiring. You’ll take point on hiring for a variety of role on our customer focused teams with an emphasis on building out scalable hiring processes that grow teams in our newest office location. You’ll partner with local Mexico City managers and those across the US, help establish our employer brand in Mexico, and bring a high‑touch, candidate‑first approach to every search.

This is our second Recruiting team hire in the market so we’re excited for someone to help us build our strategy, process and brand locally but in line with our global operating principles.

What you’ll do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for our customer-focused Mexico City roles: intake, sourcing, interview coordination, offer, and close.

• Build top-of-funnel for both immediate and future hiring needs via targeted outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and ongoing engagement with local talent.

• Create scalable hiring processes that allow us to turn up and down hiring volume as needed to meet customer needs.

• Drive weekly pipeline reviews, interview panel training, structured debriefs, and continuous improvements.

• Track and share key metrics (time-to-fill, pass-through rates, offer acceptance, source mix).

• Help shape our Mexico employer brand: local events, partnerships, job content localization, and candidate experience that stands out.

• Support other North America roles as needed (coordination, sourcing, candidate experience).

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of recruiting experience in-house; experience hiring in Mexico required.

• Comfortable owning full-cycle searches across multiple functions with strong coordination and a great candidate experience.

• Evidence of building or scaling processes to make recruiting more efficient and effective.

• Strong sourcing fundamentals and knowledge of the Mexico City market.

• Excellent business communication in Spanish and English; confident partnering with managers in Mexico and across North America.

• Organized, scrappy, and bias-for-action; you move searches forward with clear updates and crisp follow-through.

• Ability to work in our Polanco office 4 days per week (Wednesdays are option work-from-home days).

• Experience recruiting for high growth tech companies.

• Experience launching new locations or teams, and/or employer branding.

Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)

Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week. Certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description if so.

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience interview (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel.
