Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA A2D (Asset to Decommission) / Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to support an ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The consultant will play a key role in the design, configuration, validation, and deployment of S/4HANA Asset Management and Maintenance solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices and the project’s Global Template approach. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, deep knowledge of end-to-end Asset Management and Maintenance processes, and prior exposure to transformation projects using SAP Activate and implementation accelerators. Experience in cement, building materials, manufacturing, utilities, mining, or heavy industries is highly desirable. The resource will work closely with maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams, as well as with functional, technical, and integration teams, to ensure successful migration, adoption, and stabilization of S/4HANA A2D/PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities The SAP A2D / PM Consultant will be responsible for: Leading and facilitating Fit-to-Standard workshops for Asset Management and Maintenance processes. Supporting the design and validation of the S/4HANA Global Template for A2D/PM. Mapping business requirements from ECC to S/4HANA A2D/PM. Configuring SAP S/4HANA PM according to project standards and best practices, including: Functional locations and equipment structures Maintenance plans and strategies Notification and order types Breakdown and corrective maintenance processes Integration with spare parts and procurement Identifying and documenting gaps, RICEFW requirements, and process changes. Collaborating with technical teams on: Interfaces (e.g., IoT, predictive maintenance systems, EAM tools) Enhancements Conversions Reports and dashboards Forms (work orders, notifications, etc.) Supporting data migration activities, including: Functional location and equipment mapping Open maintenance orders and notifications Maintenance plan migration and validation Preparing and executing test scenarios: Unit Testing (UT) Integration Testing (IT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Providing training support and knowledge transfer to maintenance and reliability teams. Supporting cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities. Working closely with project managers, other functional consultants (MM, FI, CO, PS), and system integrators to ensure timely delivery. Ensuring alignment with SAP Activate methodology and project governance.

Essential Skills

The consultant should have:

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in SAP PM / A2D.

• At least 4 full-cycle SAP implementations, including: At least 2 S/4HANA implementations (ECC to S/4 preferred).

• Proven experience using SAP Activate methodology, including: Fit-to-Standard workshops Best Practices and Starter Systems Configuration and testing using accelerators

• Strong expertise in core SAP PM / A2D processes and functionalities, including: Functional Locations and Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) Corrective Maintenance (CM) Breakdown Maintenance Maintenance Plans and Scheduling Notifications and Work Orders Technical Objects Lifecycle (Asset to Decommission)

• Maintenance Cost Management and Integration with CO Experience with: Data migration from ECC to S/4HANA (functional locations, equipment, maintenance plans, open orders, notifications, etc.)

• Fiori apps for Maintenance and Asset Management Integration with other SAP modules, especially: MM (spare parts, materials, procurement for maintenance) FI/CO (maintenance costs, capitalization, WBS/IO integration) EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) where applicable PS (projects related to major maintenance/overhauls)

• Prior experience in industries similar to cement, mining, heavy manufacturing, utilities, or industrial sector is a strong plus.

• Experience working in global or regional rollout programs is preferred.

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

Additional Comments

This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a solid understanding of maintenance and reliability processes in heavy industry. The consultant should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and geographically distributed environment. Experience with: SAP EAM in S/4HANA Predictive Maintenance / IoT integration SAP Asset Strategy and Performance Management (ASPM) Mobile Maintenance (Fiori/MDK) is considered an advantage. Prior exposure to large-scale transformation programs and global templates is highly valued. Availability for occasional travel may be required depending on project needs. The consultant should demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
