Position Overview
The Business Operations Analyst supports business growth and operational improvement across the organization. This role combines data analysis, operational insight, and change management to help drive strategic initiatives that improve performance across manufacturing, sales, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to analyze business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of initiatives that strengthen Mustad USA’s position in the equestrian supply industry. Essential Job Functions
Business Analysis & Strategic Insight
Analyze business performance data across sales, operations, and inventory to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Evaluate the profitability of revenue streams, including customer profitability and return on assets (ROA).
Provide insights that support data-driven decision making for leadership.
Assess organizational capabilities and identify requirements needed to support long-term business growth.
Operational Improvement
Conduct cost analysis of manufacturing operations and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Analyze inventory health and supply chain performance to support better planning and working capital management.
Support improvement initiatives across procurement, operations, and sales channels.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Support and analyze data used in the S&OP process to ensure alignment between demand, production, and inventory.
Partner with Sales and Marketing to analyze sales performance and customer trends.
Provide reporting and insights that assist in forecasting and strategic planning.
Change Management
Assist leadership in implementing business transformation and change initiatives.
Support communication strategies that help teams adopt new processes or systems.
Work cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop dashboards, reports, and analysis using Excel, Power BI, and ERP data.
Maintain consistent reporting cycles and ensure deadlines are met.
Validate and interpret complex data sets to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
Required
4–5 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, operations analysis, or consulting.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data sets.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, animal health, agricultural, or equestrian-related industries.
Experience supporting business transformation or change initiatives.
Background in professional services, consulting, finance, or operations analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Operations, or a related field.

Work Environment
Office setting in manufacturing/distribution facility environment
Infrequent domestic and international travel
Some exposure to plant and warehouse environment including heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and significantly loud noise
Exposure to moving mechanical parts online, as well as moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse
Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) which the company provides, following all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance System (MPS)
