JLGOV LLC is seeking a forward-thinking administrative professional to spearhead our next-generation back-office operations. We are transitioning to an AI-driven operational model. In this role, you won't just be executing tasks; you will manage the heartbeat of our company, including but not limited to managing company registrations, licensing, and compliance to operate, overseeing vendor relationships, training new hires, orchestrating third-party accounting and HR oversight, and leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to streamline business workflows. This is a rare opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to move from task execution to full operational ownership in a high-tech, evolving environment.
THE THREE-PHASE DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY
Phase 1: Foundation (Months 1-4) | Business Operations Trainee
Compensation: $20.00/hour, no benefits
Schedule: On-site (Virginia Beach); Full-time (30–40 hours/week).
Focus: Mastering the core ecosystem. You will learn our specific AI-integration workflows, manage vendor communications, support payroll preparation, and oversee reviews of QuickBooks transactions while coordinating with our third-party HR and accounting partners.
Phase 2: Transition (Months 5-18) | Business Operations Specialist
Compensation: 10% hourly increase + Eligibility for Full Health Benefits & PTO at 6 months.
Schedule: On-site; Full-time (40 hours/week).
Focus: Managing recurring workflows independently. You will serve as the primary liaison to outsourced providers, ensuring compliance, tracking HR metrics, and refining AI tools used in daily office operations.
Phase 3: Advancement (Month 19+) | Business Office Manager
Compensation: Transition to Salary + an additional 10% increase (based on performance).
Schedule: Hybrid (Performance-based), can return to full on-site.
Focus: Full ownership of day-to-day office operations. You will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, using data and AI-driven insights to improve process efficiency and company profitability.
COMPENSATION & ADVANCEMENT POLICY
To provide full transparency and ensure alignment, we are being aggressive in the compensation, and the following terms apply to this development pathway:
Fixed Progression: The increases outlined in Phase 2 and Phase 3 are the only scheduled adjustments within the 18-month program framework.
24-Month Rate Lock: Following the compensation adjustment at the start of Phase 3 (Month 18), the salary will remain fixed for a minimum of 24 months thereafter.
Discretionary Reviews: Any further compensation adjustments following the 24-month lock period are at the sole discretion of senior leadership.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
3+ years in a structured corporate or professional services environment.
2+ years supporting Human Resources, QuickBooks, or business invoicing.
Having worked in a government environment would be a plus (+)
Tech-Forward Mindset: You must be excited by AI and automation, with the ability to learn new software platforms rapidly.
Communication: Exceptional ability to manage relationships with vendors and third-party consultants.
