Job Description

Reporting to Investment Analytics Director you will join Jellyfish's Investment Analytics Team with a blend of technical prowess, analytical thinking, and effective communication and to be part of a broad and diverse team within Paid Media practice encompassing Marketing Analysis, Data Engineering and Data Scientist specialists.

An architect of data-driven insights, meticulously mining, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of data to inform strategic decision-making. To play a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful and actionable intelligence, enabling paid media teams and clients to optimize operations, identify market trends, and improve overall business performance. By employing a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and analytical skills, he/she provides a foundation for data-led strategies that propel businesses forward.

Responsibilities

• Empowering data-driven decisions with a blend of analytical prowess, effective communication, and collaborative engagement in dynamic business landscapes.

• Dissect complex data sets, identify patterns, and understand the underlying business processes.

• Scrutinize the validity and reliability of the data sources, question assumptions, and draw sound conclusions that support client’s and internal business strategies.

• Create intuitive and informative visualizations that convey complex data in an understandable manner.

• Design and maintain data warehouses, as well as developing complex queries that can handle large datasets.

• Lead analytics projects and need to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Define measurement frameworks that are reflective of account strategies by identifying the proper data sources and KPIs aligned to business goals and illustrate media efforts effectiveness.

• Ensure data-driven decisions are accessible to all decision-makers.

• Identify issues within data sets and propose innovative solutions. Involves a proactive approach to troubleshooting and the creativity to develop new methods for data analysis.

Qualifications

• 4+ Experience working with diverse data sources across multiple channels to produce insights using ETL Processes, SQL and Database Querying

• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI is essential for creating dashboards and reports and experience working with Looker (Enterprise) intermediate level desirable.

• SQL (intermediate-advance) for querying databases and understanding of programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.

• Must enhance his/her skill set to include advanced data modeling, proficiency in ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and a deeper understanding of business analytics.

• Advanced Excel and/or Spreadsheet Skills

• Business Acumen and Understanding of Marketing Digital KPIs

• Strong communication skills to articulate insights and recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy

• Proficient knowledge of digital activation and understanding of the levers a digital marketer may pull to influence marketing outcomes.

• Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics (desirable)

• Cloud Computing Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) (desirable)
