In support of this growth, the Business Solutions technology team is looking to onboard an experienced BI Lead with a strong background in Finance to drive the evolution of our data and intelligence capabilities.
This role will play a key part in delivering enterprise-wide reporting and analytics solutions, aligned to our strategic roadmap and designed to empower decision-making, enhance data governance, and support the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
The Role
This role encompasses three core areas: Governance and Strategy, Enterprise Reporting, and Leadership. You will bring proven experience across all three, using your deep BI expertise not only to deliver impactful insights but also to embed best practices, standardize reporting, optimize development and delivery processes and manage a growing team of BI Analysts.
Reporting to the Head of BI, this position offers a balance of hands-on technical work and leadership, with the opportunity to guide a team of developers in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment while strategizing and delivering enterprise level reporting objectives.
As BI Lead, you will lead the design policy and deployment of a comprehensive reporting framework for both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll shape the strategic direction of BI initiatives, implementing a robust data governance process to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of all reporting outputs. You will have demonstratable skills in Power BI, including the management and maintenance of the Power BI service and applications developed in Power Apps. You will identify gaps in our development processes and set strong governance on new development processes. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions while planning for long-term scalable and strategic growth.
Beyond technical expertise and strategic planning, this role requires strong leadership to support, mentor and guide a small team of developers, ensuring objectives are delivered within the ISO framework. You’ll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing a high-performing BI team and serve as the primary point of contact for BI-related requests, including direct client engagement. You’ll be a natural problem solver, adept at managing incoming queries, prioritizing tasks, and effective at delegating. Representing the BI team in daily stand-ups, you’ll ensure the backlog is well-maintained with clearly defined Jira stories that provide the necessary context for smooth delivery.
You will be keen to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
