Business Intelligence Engineer

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer/Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, transforming data into meaningful insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves end-to-end delivery of reporting solutions, including data modeling, visualization, deployment, and ongoing support within the Power BI platform and related Microsoft technologies.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Set up and maintain a robust Power BI development environment;
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI;
• Connect to various data sources, transform data, and implement efficient data models;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions;
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and datasets;
• Optimize report performance and implement best practices in data visualization;
• Manage and maintain Power BI workspaces, datasets, and dataflows;
• Configure security, roles, and access control (Row-Level Security);
• Plan, manage, and report on development activities using DevOps tools (pipelines, boards, user stories, artifacts);
• Conduct testing, validate results, and resolve issues promptly;
• Support UAT by preparing test cases and ensuring high-quality deliverables;
• Deploy reports and dashboards into production environments and maintain them post-release;
• Monitor usage, performance, and adoption of Power BI solutions;
• Provide recommendations on Power BI architecture, governance, and best practices;
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for all reporting solutions;
• Ensure UI/UX consistency with organizational branding and reporting standards;
• Align datasets with established data models, taxonomy, and reporting frameworks;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Proven experience in Power BI development, including dashboards, reports, and data modeling;
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation techniques;
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases;
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes;
• Experience with DevOps practices and agile methodologies;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language.

Additional Qualification, Knowledge and Skills

• Nice to have a relevant certification, such as:

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
